You need a sidecar :D

Your partial chains look interesting - no problems losing them?

Andy

Nice photo.. Thanks!

Hahahahaaa.. Sidecar? Maybe one day.. I would like to have one...

Well, last year I had issue with rubber part on tensioner for fitting the chains on tire.. It was from bicycle inner tube, and it was too thinly.. So when I was climbing from camp site to hut, a few of them broke apart.. Now I have a much better rubber parts, looks like O - rings (you can see it on the picture), and had no problem at all...

Usually the chain wanders on the wheel over time, which is why the chains are only fixed to themselves and not to the wheel (spokes).

Which is true for one-piece chains - they may just snap the tensioning rubber bands if they go through the spokes.
But because you have two parts, there is always half a wheel revolution time for every part to bounce back in place. I think.
Interesting system, first time I saw that!

Yes, you´re right.. :smt023
They have intention to fall out over time, so because of that and easier putting on wheel, we made 3 - pieces chain (you can see on the picture that one piece is already on the wheel..) which is suitable to get stuck in rubber tread (in my case Heidenau K60 M+S Silica), and be more stable during wheel revs...
Lessons learned... :-D
