Einerseits handwerklich genial gemacht und mutig um die Ecke gedacht, andererseits aber so fremd dass sich das wow nicht so richtig einstellen will.

As you know, Veloce made a scrambler version of the Venom
- its weak point was that it broke its frame on rough ground
It used brazed lugs and tubes that were not strong enough.
some Velo racers remove surplus lugs for lightness, and weld the frame. Then add cross bracing to the articulated, slotted rear making extra strenght, and weight.
Other racers use a Norton frame. If one were rich, perhaps a Seeley or 'one-offs'
There was one Velo scrambler {my old fashioned usage of the name...} with a yellow tank, that won events in American desert racing. Happened so seldom that people took photographs..
Velo scrambler frames have been used on road machines because of the orthodox twin rear end suspension, but more because a tuned engine may be fitted using a big carb. with a long straight inlet tract. Tuned velos use the big Amal GP, but the machine illustrated has a Clubmans competition carb, which also has no tick over.
